One day early ....

I couldn't hold out until 9am tomorrow's appointment, so I ended up in the ER at 6am today. The ascities  fluid build up went across the abdominal and upwards towards my chest. That was the most painful, felt like a balloon that was pumped too full ,  2 inches beneath the middle of my chest.

They drew 4200 ml today and gave me albumin to slow down the process. Hopefully that helps.

This past Tuesday I went from 9 am to 730 pm at the clinical drug trial receiving the combo medicine for immunotherapy, clinical MK drug and Keytruda drug. They switched me to this combo just Tues.

It is less invasive than chemo and will reach certain areas that chemo will not. It does take more visits as this process is slower to start seeing results.

Now I can have space in my tummy to eat and drink anything. My weight is now 135 after fluid draw was done

Thanks for reading!

Dr.Kim called and spoke to us

Dr. Kim, from Stony Brook medical mentioned that for a  chance to survival on this procedure, HIPEC,  I have to eat 1600-1800 calories a day. If I can get my nutrition back up, he will perform the surgery. At least there is still a chance, someone can perform surgery on me, but I need to be stronger. I'm working on eating balanced each day so I can make this happen!

Couple more a drains later but the fluid is becoming less in volume

I went in on Sat to do an early Paracentesis. And I knew they wouldn't have a team ready,  but at least by Monday they should right?! After the fluid was drawn, less than 2000ml, because something else is taking up the space that use to grow there..another 8cm tumor near the stomach walls area. It's displacing the fluid to the left and and bowel activity actually seems to stop there. So there is a blockage tumor, that is on the remaining ovary. I have been here for 4 days now, v let's see if they discharge me today. I could use any help you want to lend, whether it'smaking food, or mowing the yard,  please coordinate with Josh. Thank you friend and family, Love, Jeni

Blood clot

The Drs found a blood clot , width of a pinky finger diameter size, after I told them there was very painful bump in my throat. I thought it was a cold sore ; when I swallow, it hurts. They sent me to do a sonogram right away, as normal blood clots you can't feel, but this bump is big. At least it wasn't a new growth there, so that's good. Now, each day, I will give myself a shot in the tummy, called  Lovenox (Enoxaparin) -  , blood thinner, until the clot dissolves. Dr. Jaramillo has put me on biweekly paracentisis, fluid drain from the tummy. At the last drain,  ~1 gallon of fluid was removed. It was definitely more comfortable to breathe and I regained an appetite for couple days. The tumor growing inside is also getting bigger, leaving less room for fluids. The reports of fluid pathology test, shows abnormal cells in the fluid, so its likely advancing into abdominal wall( which we knew) and may be onto other organs.
